“Some days I be like screw it all, then I recoup and press forward.” – Justin A. Starks
When you feel alone
Most days when we are so busy doing for others we forget that we have problems in this hectic world as well. This could cause a mental breakdown and be painful to your mission. Sure, I get it, we have to be acquired to have good people skills and look out for others, but that doesn’t mean throw your own feelings in the closet. By doing so, you are setting yourself up for failure. Learn to express your feelings and vent to people in your life who cares for you.
Learn to prioritize
Work, work, and work is all we know when we hear our alarm clock in the early morning. We spend so much time getting ready for a job most of us barely love, instead of working on our ultimate success plan. Learning to prioritize has helped me tremendously. Before hand, I would always tell myself I didn’t have time or I was too tired to accomplish anything I knew I had to work on in order to grow. I had to drop that toxic mentality and put my ideas on the agenda and stick to my plan.
Accept the challenge
We tend to run from a challenge. If we don’t step in the game we will never know how to play and just be a lost soul on the roster. No matter how bad it may seems or frightening, accept the challenge and prosper. Sometimes when I have a new challenge on the table for the grabs, I take a deep breathe and openly accept the position. I don’t run, I look at it as a stepping stone for improvement. Sometimes I complain and get frustrated, but I also tell myself it will all pay off. It never hurts to step up and try even if you are going to fail. Who cares! Keep it pressing and learn. That’s how you grow.
