No Rich Parents; No Assistance

“Hard times make the toughest Men” -Section8Investor

I was blessed to have both of my parents through my entire life even in the worst environment, but when it came to financial stability it wasn’t the best. Growing up we struggled, and I mean hard. Staying with inlaws (grandparents), cousins, and friends of the family was hard enough on me mentally. Seeing the struggle first hand molded me. It molded me into a kid who found ways to get money without bothering my mother for it.

Not having rich parents, I had to learn the willingness to build wealth differently than others. I went through challenges and many ups and downs. I took many losses and have been completely broke, but didn’t understand why on many occasions. Staying in the ghetto where every corner had a pawn shop or liquor store, I truly didn’t see any wealth solutions in my community. I had to think outside the box and become distant from the majority.

By having this type of lifestyle at the bottom of the barrel it made me strong. I always tell others if you make it from where I’m from you could do anything you wish in this 1 lifetime. People who experience the depths of hell and struggle know how it’s already like to fail many attempts and be in the dark. That’s what most successful people never deal with because they were born into rich successful homes. We know how to respond when tragedy happens, they don’t.

Having great parents, but not rich parents gave me all the leadway in the world to become successful. The struggle and my bad economy gave me all the confidence in the world today to do what I do and become wealthy. Don’t keep your head down no more. Get up, make a difference, and influence.

Down to 1

Teach others, be dedicated – Justin A. Starks

One more loan to payoff and I am debt free! Once I noticed how much I could be reserving and putting into a wealthy machine, I was determined to break the leash of being a debt slave.

Debt is used to keep us on a tight leash. We see no hope being in debt and that put a pause on everything we want to do in life. We get overwhelmed and depressed, which isn’t good for any of us.

Being debt free isn’t all about money. It’s about having a choice and a voice. By being in debt you have no control over how you want to live your life. That’s scary. By being debt free you have the upper hand on your next move. Either if it’s put your money to work or buying a new shirt feeling guilt free.

By any means do as you please with your money but make sure you are taking the steps to becoming debt free and out of that poor mentality. Don’t plan for Saturday night, lets plan for Four Generations. Anyway, have a blessed day, I just wanted to share I am down to 3,000 and I am debt free! Feels great to say that.

9 To 5’s Destroyed The Majority

IMG_2366[1]“You will never be up working that 9 to 5 alone”. – Justin A. Starks

That intro statement at the top with my name behind it is pure key to your financial future! Only working a 9 to 5 putting in all those hours in isn’t enough to get you to where you ultimately want to be. Let me be the one to crush your dreams right now before you punch that clock any longer, because someone has to do it. That job you hate and still pull up too doesn’t care about your financial stability. That job you take a shower for every night and morning, if you even do, doesn’t care about your sick child at home or when your tire blows out. That job that you repeatedly take abuse from day on and day off, doesn’t care about your feelings or you not paying the bills.

A 9 to 5 alone isn’t going to take you too financial freedom. That job alone isn’t even going to move you and your family of 8 out the hood. If you grew up in a poverty stricken neighborhood like me, then you know that working a measly underpaid job isn’t going to cut it throughout the year. Yeah, you may be receiving that yearly tax check, but I guarantee it will go quick and in a hurry because of unpaid bills you have added up all throughout the past year. It is a never ending game of cat and mouse.

All the time I see friends celebrating they have two jobs that are completely awful. It isn’t smart to get two jobs just to continue going deep in debt and not pushing your purpose. That’s what I call robbing yourself blind. That’s a quick way to end up on a road to depression, because you will never realize how you are setting yourself up for failure.

Me personally have seen how even jobs wasn’t enough to sustain in the ghetto, as we still struggled terribly. There was so many sleepless nights I encountered because 1. I couldn’t eat or 2. I was up hearing my mother cry because we didn’t have enough for the bills. This system failed my family for ages and it’s time it stops at this generation with me. Those vulnerable moments are stuck with me for life as I change the hand of life forever and ever. If you are going to work a 9 to 5 start learning how to invest and utilize your money better. Your money is exactly like time, it is a resource, and once it’s gone, it’s gone forever until you waste another 500 hours getting it back or however time is consumed from that awful thing you call a job.

Lastly, people think just because they work for a certain company or career field they have automatically won this game called life! That’s where we as a majority are wrong. A title has nothing to do with how you stand economically. If you know nothing about starting a business or investing in the stock market or real estate, you will forever play a game of throw the money away. The American Dream will only be a mere dream and leave you hopeless getting deeper in debt, thinking of a wrong way out. We have to stop depending on these 9 to 5’s and use them as a stepping stone. That stepping stone could be running a successful business or utilizing the dollar cost averaging when it comes to investing! Just motivation for my poor folks, hope you pick this up and run with it! Make sure you send me a email to Section8Investor@gmail.com where we can discuss your financial goals! I’m out, Peace and Love!

Doesn’t Make Cents Sunday’s: Sleep Money

“Your biggest regret is not investing in the stock market” – Investors all over the globe

The dumbest thing you could do with your money is not invest. It could be real estate or your own business, no matter what it may be you have to invest. By not investing in the stock market you are losing out on the growth of the economy. If you don’t take ownership with these opportunities you will continue to be a worker (loaner).

You can’t keep trusting these banks that pay you only 1%. You work hard for your dollars and you are worth much more than that. These techniques will not be thought in the classroom or probably from your homes, especially if your parents know nothing about investing. You have to teach yourself and get that financial education before you forever be played by the system.

In order to not to have sleep money, you have to take chances with it and that’s why the Stock Market is key. It allows your money to grow while you are sleep. You earn the money, put a percentage up, and distribute at your own risk and you could possible see some great returns. You don’t have to be the smartest about investing, it is key to keep it simple. Keep it simple to your investing techniques and grow just upon what you know. It doesn’t make sense not to invest in the Stock Market. You have to put your money to work while you are sleep unless you will work all your life thinking you have to work for money.

What’s a Dividend Check?

“The Stock Market doesn’t want you to keep it simple, they want you to not invest, invest.” – Justin A. Starks

Investing is a great way to build wealth. For many years it has been a great tool for many successful individuals around the globe. It’s time for you to use it and reap some of the benefits as well.

Today I am discussing how you could possibly make money in your sleep. I am making you totally aware of the Stock Market and how you could receive dividend checks just by investing in stocks you believe are some good.

Let’s imagine you invest in a stock. No matter what that stock was you are fully invested and it pays a dividend. Well, every quarter “3 Months” you receive what is called a Dividend Check. That’s free money from the company you trust that goes to you in a form of a check.

You can either A cash the check and spend it on something you need or wanted or you can B reinvest it back in the Stock Market and let compound interest do its wonderful magic. Your way is entirely up to you, but I have to chose the Plan B.

The more stock you own of the company the bigger the dividend check. Let’s not forget about your stock appreciation growth, return on interest, and capital growth. Even if your stock isn’t doing good for a couple of days or years the company still gives out a dividend check for you being invested with the company.

Let’s not make the Stock Market complicated with all the strategies and terminology. That’s how you get turned off by it and never become that wealthy individual. Keep it simple and invest in companies you know, not what you hear. Only pick stocks that pays a dividend check every quarter and invest. Simple right? True enough.

Justin Want a Dollar

“When I see money on the stove, I could whip a bowl”. – Justin A. Starks

Money Reign

Money is the subject. To me money is life. Now I am not saying I will sell my soul for it, but it does play a big part in how I see my life headed forward. I do say follow your dream and money will come. Never stress over money to the point that it kills you. Never stress over money to the point you sell out your own kind or the ones you love the most. Always let your purpose be the reason you achieve great amounts of wealth. No matter what you do just make sure it is something you love to do for the money.

Regrets

Don’t let time pass you by or any other hour. Every minute is valuable and you have to know exactly how important every second is to the mission.  Becoming someone with regrets means you wasted a lot of years doing nothing. You were someone who said, “Oh I will do this tomorrow, next week, or when the opportunity is right”. That’s not living at all. That’s what I call dead procrastination.

Foolery behind you

It’s time to leave the foolery behind you and work your magic with your passion. Last week people have died indulging in the foolery. They let the streets or worse situations get to them. If you are the type to let every situation get the best of you then it is time for a change. If you want a dollar you can’t be the same as everyone else and when I say dollar, I mean a huge amount. The type of amount you need everyone in your family to count it all. Stop playing and leave that foolery behind you. It’s time to get a dollar, not another dead problem/partner

Work your Magic

In order to get the amount of money you have always dreamed of, you have no choice but to work you magic. Let go of that comfortable blanket you are always use to and get a new one. Let go of the people who are always there to protect you when you get a baby bruise. Learn how to get up and make your own decisions. We need more leaders, not anymore followers. We can’t keep dodging failures, baby that come with the dream! Time to work that magic and get everything you have always dreamed of. It’s not hard but it isn’t easy. Stop playing and make it breezy!

Don’t Make Cense Sunday’s: Scrolling your life away

“Too much time is spent scrolling your life away on social media sites.”- Justin A. Starks

Since my space and other various social networks was invented, we have been giving too much of our precious time, giving away our time. These social media platforms are making us react in a while different fashion. Most of us are now hiding our true identity just to impress the public. It’s like going viral is all we care about inside the community. We sing, dance, fight, and even commit murders all over these social websites. It’s a shame how many individuals I see just want to become rappers thinking it will gain them instant fam, women, and infinite wealth. I don’t think social media is helping the community but instead harming the community.

Bye Bye, Time

Americans spend on average a total of 2 hours on social media a day. Let’s say you aren’t promoting a business for monetary reasons. Let’s just say you are scrolling down your time and posting pointless selfies. This means you are just a consumer to a world full of marketers and producers. These marketers spend billions of dollars on ads a year just to control your brain waves and behavior. In fact, you are just another individual who doesn’t know what to do with your own time so social media gives you something to do. By the way, those two hours in a lifetime equals up to 5 years in 4 months in a single lifetime. Wow! That’s bonkers!

Spend more time building

Just imagine everything you ever wanted going down the drain because of this wild urge to constantly feed your social media addiction. Some claim they could get off at any giving time and do something else, but let’s be truthful and understand that is a lie. We have to start capitalizing off of our time spent on social media and build a brand.

Don’t be another follower

Everyday you wake up the first thing you do is grab your phone and scroll your morning away. Let’s say you woke up and put that same energy towards a dream of yours. Woke up early to do a workout and read some pages out of that book you always wanted to accomplish. Woke up before work and mowed the yard your wife has been nagging to you about all week. Just something else instead of tumbling time down these timeless social media websites.

The Catch

What’s the catch for this blog you ask? It’s all about using your time wisely. It doesn’t make any sense to sit around and scroll your life away. That time could be used investing in what you love! Do something you love and share your tactics with the world. Just don’t be another user, be someone with substance that could possibly turn the world into a better place. A better place with your vision leading the way. Don’t let someone else vision control your life.

Don’t Make Cense Sunday’s: Level Up (MegaMan Edition)

"Nobody to blame but yourself if you don't level up" – Section8Investor

Level Up !

In order to live the life you always dreamed of you have to level up (boss up). Doing the same thing and living amongst the same individuals who care nothing about your outcome or aspirations is going to keep you down and depressed all of the time. It really makes no Cense to stick around and become the dummy of the century. Also, it doesn't make any Cense to let others close to you bring you down. You say they are your friends but they only knock you down every time you come up with a great idea. How is that any good for you and your future self? It isn't and it's time to level up and do exactly what you were brought into this World to do and that's to lead and become better you ever imagined. Change your circle, sacrifice your time, and work harder than ever before. Never be so worried about what others say that it brings you down. Never be so caught up in people (what they're doing) that it uses all of your energy and keeps you unfocused.

Going all the way in !

I like the saying from legendary Grant Cardone, which is called The 10X rule. Off the back we know 10 x 10 comes out to be 100. This number is way greater than attempting to do it 1X and going back to the original number, which is 1! You maybe the only who believe in your vision but if you all in 10X you will succeed every rip of the way. You will start unlocking new doors for yourself and find yourself meeting/teaching people all over the world. Everyone isn't meant to go where you are going, so it's imperative that you stay on the road and take those who are serious about your passion just as you are and leave the snakes in the old blender on the counter back home in the slums.

No Setbacks !

Remember, on any road you will never be applauded by the things you didn't pursue but you will be when you step closer and closer to success. It is completely up to you to keep your head held high, buckle all the way down, and level the f*ck up! Stop feeling sorry for yourself and leaving your dreams on the table because the majority want accept you with open arms. It's time to excel and hit the gas. Time to level up and show the world but more important to show that face in the mirror. It doesn't make cense not to level up and take the chances needed to ensure greatness!

Section8BookReiew: Chuck Collins (99 to 1)

"Money doesn't bring happiness, said the lowest class of 99" – Section8Investor

This book was different. It really changed my view on how I see things. How I see things in the hood, my bad, lower class community. Chuck Collins really broke it down to why the economy needs to serve the whole 100 percent and not just the top wealthy 1 percent. He also gave great key points on how it should happen through investing, tax fluctuation, and opposing that the working class be presented with better opportunities. It gave great insight on how money should be flowing throughout the economy and how the bottom 99% could benefit.

Throughout this book it was suggested that majority of the 1 percent were down to see changes (65%) but the others said, "Hell No".

Inner Reflection

Coming from the lowest of the lowest of the 99% I had to disagree with some of the teaching brought fourth from Mr. Chuck Collins. Me being from the lowest of the 99 percent I have seen firsthand how individuals would rather let the government take care of them than to wake up and put the most efforts in their goals and aspirations. The government actually makes more of us lazy from the bottom percentile because now we figure we don't have to work or have set goals, which is sad because we think we are getting over on "The Man" if I do say so. Welfare, childcare assistance programs (Head-start), Medicaid, HUD Housing, EBT, & etc are majority of the reasons the poor communities think it's okay to just sit around. I also thought growing up that these programs are meant to take ownership of our minds and control our moves, which I am right to some degree.

"If we don't understand the value of money and how it is suppose to work these programs will continue to consume us and destroy our communities. We will never have a chance of getting ahead and potentially be apart of the 1 percent." – Section8StrategicPlanning

Affirmative Action & Finances

In the book 99 to 1, Collins also spoke about raising the minimum wage for the American workers. I agree and disagree with this method. Majority of us in the bottom 99% don't understand the value of money so we intend to overspend. That reason alone will always leave us broker than before and thinking the answer is a raise and working two jobs, giving up all your time and energy to someone else's company. If giving a raise was the case we would still make very bad decisions with our wealth instead of investing and saving. I truly understand why those wealthy individuals who are apart of the 1% think creating jobs and funding new opportunities for the 99% think they have done enough. We as the 99% can't keep relying on the government or these higher officials to hold our hands. We have to learn, build, & create better communities for ourselves.

3 Needed Improvements amongst the 99%

1.) Wake Up the Living Poor

I do agree when Collins mentioned we need to wake and stop letting others control our emotions and wealth. Majority of us are sleep and that really needs to change. Just as the different parties fight for our rights to vote we need to fight for our freedom to be apart of economic decisions before they just sprout out of nowhere never fully understanding why. We need to understand how the economy works against us and around us. 99 is always greater to 1

2.) The Government isn't Superman

Sure the programs I mentioned above are great but that only teaches us how to be lazy and depend on the government. Like mentioned above, I watched so many people think they are getting over on the government by doing so. They actually thought getting over on government was the way of us but boy is the government laughing at the ignorant.

3.) Creating Valuable Opportunities

We need to start creating new jobs and taking finances more serious. We lack an education on wealth and that's a problem among the 99 percent. We spend way more than we make and think it's okay because we can easily work another 40 hours and struggle, which is mind blowing to someone like myself. This is why investing, real estate, and building your own business/platform is widely important, which was also stated by Mr. Collins throughout his book (99 to 1).

Proper Salute

This book was well written and Collins did have great meaning behind his teachings. He provided many great ideas and expressed we have to come together as a whole and not be divided because wealth separately equally could potentially help us all. There are many people out in the world willing to help but the way laws and politicians are set up that challenge will be hard. Hope isn't enough we have to start taking action and Collins did express that intensively throughout this Marvelous Book. I would advise this be added to anyone's library at any moment.

Switching Sections: “The Net Worth from Paycheck Mind Adjustment”

“Pay check to paycheck; leads to infinite death, let's build that Net Worth.” – Section8Investor

In my last blog, “Never knew the Difference: Income vs. Net worth” I preached the difference between Net Worth and Income and how important it is for you to understand. In this blog I will preach the meaning of building your net worth with better understanding and real life examples. Hopefully, I could persuade you to be on the road of awesomeness, when it comes to you and your finances.

Net Worth, Less Work

Building your Net worth give you the authority to do as you please and not stress as much. Building your net worth will allow you to open many doors for you and your family that are beyond measures. By allowing your net worth to grow you are allowing your brain to signal better brain frequencies, when it comes to creating and owning. A paycheck to paycheck mentality will only have the mindset of next Friday (Payday), or that check that comes in at the end of the month.

When switching from the paycheck mentality you are constantly developing, excelling, and using your brain to find better opportunities for growth. You now understand you are not entitled to go to a job you hate and work until you are 78 years old, from your death bed. You understand the difference of working for money and money working for you. It is better to understand this life value before it is too late. Seriously, best believe if they could work your useless body from the grave, they would because they know you will never understand this vital concept.

Increasing Thy Net worth

There are many wonderful ideas out in this world to significantly increase your net worth. It all starts with you! Your capabilities to strategically plan your next money move. In order to start increasing your wealth you have to eliminate debt off of your list. I firmly believe taking care of your debt is a number 1 factor when trying to build wealth.

“Ex. Tommy makes a 100,000 a year. Tommy likes going out and living lavishly. Tommy spends 89,000 a year on vacations, women, and boats. Tommy now has no source of income because he was laid off from his job. Tommy now has no money and is 300,000 in debt. He also has no capital or real value assets. Tommy is flat broke to square one.”

If tommy followed these simple life secrets of paying debt, living frugal, saving, and investing, – he would be way ahead of the game some years ago. This is why paying debt and not getting sunk in by the impression of impressing people who barely like you is important.

The Secret Stash

One starting point on your way to a bigger and better Net worth is having that “secret stash”. Some call it the emergency fund, life savings, or etc. My best advice for the secret stash is simple, “Out of mind, out of sight”. This allows your money to be debited into your secret account without looking, before you take anything out of your weekly check.

Ex. “Jacob has been making 30,000 a year working for the local school. Jacob is worried the school will have another job layoff so he thinks of great ways to end his spending habits and saving more money. Jacob has an idea and a bright future. Jacob open a “Secret Stash Account and puts away just 10 percent of his income every paycheck. He did so for 15 years passing his income and living stress free. Good to know, the job lay off never came and Jacob was now investing and purchasing his first home.”

Spending less

One who is living on less than they possibly earn is a “Frugal One”. Being frugal is a great way to build your Net Worth. Keep in mind all your spending buddies will talk down on your practices and try to drag in living overly spending hell. Be cautious and stay true to yourself. If you can’t go out because you are on a budget, then absolutely don’t do it. Remember, a frugal lifestyle doesn’t have to last long.

Best Wishes

In order to make a change from your environment when it comes to money you have to adventure out. All advice isn’t good advice, even if it comes from the ones you love and trust. You have to become self – educated and entitled to learning the game and growing. Your Future self will thank you if you stay down. Build your net worth and relax because your stress levels will decrease when you know you money is working in your sleep.

Question: Is your Net Worth important to you? Do you even care about your finances and having full control of your life?
